Mari Yasuda (aka Mary) is a Vancouver-born and raised fashion designer. Constantly inspired by her surroundings and the unique individuality of people, her designs reflect vibrant energy & originality. Understanding that we all come from different backgrounds, shapes & sizes, she is dedicated in making her clothing versatile in fit. Through her work, she hopes to raise self-esteem & beauty in all individuals. Yasuda quotes “I want people to not only look beautiful but feel extra confident when they wear my designs.”

Shortly after graduating from high school, she went on to study fashion design at the world renowned Tokyo Mode Gakuen (Design Institute) in Tokyo, Japan. At the Institute, Yasuda received numerous recognition awards for outstanding design + construction. She was awarded first place for men’s shirt construction and best leather garment among other achievements. She continued to build on her passion for design by pursuing her degree in Fashion Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Vancouver, BC.

Yasuda currently has three dynamic lines. The first line  ▪ mariyasuda ▪ is targeted for the mature woman where sophistication and ultra femininity mixes in with traditional/authentic Japanese Elements. Her second line is geared towards the generation now girls where she takes Japanese Street Style as the main theme to create the ▪ m★ ▪ girl. Lastly, her third line ▪ my dog™ ▪ is for pets & modern pet parents with a Street Pop Flair. Her collections are proudly designed & finely made in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They can be found in specialty boutiques throughout Canada & USA.
